Dr. Smith received his bachelor degrees in chemistry and biology from the University of Sioux Falls, and a Master of Science in neuro anatomy and a Medical Degree from the University of Iowa. He completed his residency at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Specializing in Internal Medicine, Dr. Smith provides healthcare for adult patients, but has also special training in endoscopy procedures and in allergy.

Dr. Smith is married with three grown children. He is on the Board of Trustees at the University of Sioux Falls and the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Children’s Home. Dr. Smith is a member of the Holdrege Rotary Club and is active in his church. He also enjoys sports, spending time with his family, and has donated his time on medical mission trips to Jamaica and to Haiti.
