Dr. Smith received appointments to both the West Point Military Academy and the United States Air Force Academy. He elected to pursue his love of soccer and accepted a varsity soccer scholarship at Metropolitan State College in Denver where he received the Phillip’s 66 Athletic Scholar Award presented to the highest achieving male athlete in the Rocky Mountain Conference and the Richard M. Fontera Award which recognized him for having the highest cumulative GPA for all athletes at Metropolitan College. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Metropolitan State College, Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Iowa. He completed his internship and residency at North Colorado Family Medicine in Greeley, Colorado.
Dr. Smith has an interest in primary care for patients of all ages. He is trained in family practice, obstetrics, pediatrics, and geriatrics. He also has specialized training in cesarean births and endoscopy procedures.
Dr. Smith has three children. His interests and hobbies include spending time with his family, golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling.
